The Early Days in South Africa......

1st of June 1967, in the town of Ermelo, Eastern Transvaal, South Africa.... a boy was born.., probably a girl too.., well probably several children and not one of them was me! Sorry, I came along the following day!
Then it was the year 2006..., or could it have been 2007..?Anyway, it happened on the dry West Coast, Western Cape, South Africa.
It was an eerie dark dry night when suddenly white lights appear in the sky. At first very dim and seemingly far off on the horizon, but eventually they became larger and brighter. The closer they got the more they made him aware of how dark the moonless night actually was!
They were almost upon him, blinding light stabbing through his dazed little eyes into the back of his scull. Then the horrible noise, a galactic growl mixed with a maddening screaming sound, was upon him!
"This was it!" the poor creature thought, sitting in the middle of the road expecting nothing more than ultimate, but hopefully painless death...
On the side of the road a mouse was sitting shaking his little head in disbelief. He'd been listening to this mad rabbit planning his own death now for months and was really surprised seeing him actually going ahead with it! The mouse was even more surprised when he suddenly viewed the whole spectacle from above, hanging from the claws of the owl that just pounded on him.
If I had noticed the desperate poor rabbit sitting determined in the road...
I probably would have overturned my classically rusted Isuzu in an attempt not to kill it, but deep in thought and oblivious of all the drama I drove my usual 100km/h all alone on this deserted straight stretch of road....
That's not where it began, but that was a good start..?
Ok, the end of the road for the mouse, but the rabbit had second thoughts about life in general, found his own ways to deal with political corruptness and global warming and went ahead and became a very old, but happy rabbit! I however, since this website is about me........ have realised that I've had all the votes that have firmly confirmed the obvious fact that I've indeed moved on into a world of my own. It may be a very small insignificant world - to the hungry owl for one, but it is a whole wonderful planet of my own and no pills or therapy will ever make me leave this place. After some careful thought though, I realised that I should probably share through my art, this wonderful world in which i live...especially with those of you who are not so fortunate to live with me in mine! It all starts with the beginning of each new piece which i make..., it however never ends…
